Thank you to everyone who attended the 'Taking Local Stories To The Next Level' workshop with award-winning filmmaker, Joakim Demmer!
At this workshop, Joakim shared about his experience in documentary filmmaking across the globe and the different ways to get your stories heard and funded at an international level.
The workshop wrapped up with an interactive Q&A session with discussions ranging from co-productions to the complexities of legalities in documentary filmmaking.
The evening was then followed by a screening of Joakim's documentary feature film "Dead Donkeys Fear No Hyenas", which shows the dark side of commercial farmlands in Ethiopia. The eye-opening film sparked a discussion amongst the audience members to wrap up the night.
